U.S. 34 now open between Ottumwa and Albia AMES, Iowa –The Iowa Department of Transportation reports U.S. 34 between Ottumwa and Albia is now open to traffic. The road had been closed earlier today to allow snowplows to clear the roadway following several traffic incidents. The Iowa DOT will be monitoring road conditions and issuing additional alerts, as warranted.
