Iowa Transportation Commission to hold public input meeting

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa Transportation Commission will meet in Des Moines , Tuesday, April 8, to discuss transportation matters with representatives of local government, interest groups and individuals. Items that may be discussed at the meeting include the State Transportation Improvement Program; transportation policies; and highway, aviation, rail, river, transit and trail issues.

The meeting will be held at Embassy Suites Hotel, 101 E. Locust. For more information concerning the meeting, or to obtain a scheduled time on the agenda, contact the Iowa Department of Transportation's Office of Program Management, 800 Lincoln Way, Ames , IA 50010 , telephone 515-239-1148, fax 515-239-1975, e-mail donald.tebben@dot.iowa.gov. Please include the time period you prefer and general topic you wish to discuss. The statements, presentations, or suggestions should be 20 minutes or less.

Monday, April 7, the commissioners will meet informally and tour transportation projects in central Iowa. No action will be taken on transportation-related matters during the tour.
