Iowa 140 culvert replacement to begin April 7 SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The culvert replacement for the bridge on Iowa 140 at the tributary to Deer Creek 3.8 miles north of Kingsley is scheduled to start April 7, 2008, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's Sioux City construction office. Iowa 140 will be closed until July for demolition of existing slab bridge and construction the new culvert. During the project, traffic detoured onto Plymouth county roads C-60, K-64, and C-44. Graves Construction of Spencer is the contractor on the $268,000 culvert replacement project. Motorists are urged to drive with caution and to obey posted signs in the construction area and on the detour.
