I-29 patching project in Woodbury County starts today SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Transportation's Sioux City construction office has approve a Portland cement concrete overlay project on Interstate 29 beginning today. The project, set to run from the Monona County Line north to Sgt. Bluff involves milling and resurfacing the northbound lanes of I-29. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction running head-to-head in the southbound lanes. The contractor plans to complete the project in stages starting at the north and south ends and completing the middle stage by the first of November. Cedar Valley Corp. of Waterloo is the contractor on the $12.5 million project. Motorists are urged to drive with caution and to obey posted signs in the construction area. # |
