South access to Sibley to close Monday CHEROKEE, Iowa – According to Iowa Department of Transportation officials, the south access on old Iowa 60 into Sibley will be closed to through traffic on Monday, April 28, 2008, weather permitting. Traffic into Sibley will need to use Osceola County Road A-22 to enter from the east or west or Iowa 9 north of the city. The closure is necessary to allow the contractor to begin work on the new, permanent connection that will utilize the interchange at 2nd Ave. Cedar Valley Corp. of Waterloo is the prime contractor for this project. The cost of this project is approximately $20.25 million. Motorists are urged to drive with caution and to obey posted signs in the construction area.
