Iowa 57 bridge reopened west of Cedar Falls,
but roadway now closed at Parkersburg

MASON CITY, Iowa – Receding water has allowed the Iowa Department of Transportation's (Iowa DOT) District 2 Office to reopen the bridge on Iowa 57 west of Cedar Falls, approximately five miles east of the Grundy County line.

However, water over the road in Butler County has caused the closure of Iowa 57 on the west edge of Parkersburg. Traffic is being detoured onto local roads. The roadway is expected to remain closed to traffic until the water recedes, probably later tonight.
