The contractor is planning the removal of the west portion of the current bridge April 30-May 1. The closures will be from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night/morning. Traffic will be detoured on the interchange ramps.

For the upcoming week, the contractor has scheduled the following:

  • Tuesday, April 29
    • 24th Street over I-80/I-29 will be reduced to one lane each direction with a middle turn lane.
    • Westbound traffic on I-80/I-29 will be shifted towards the median. Two traffic lanes will be maintained.
  • Tuesday, April 29 to Monday, June 30
Weather permitting, traffic will be shifted to the east side of the current bridge on 24th Street, while the west portion of the new bridge is being built.
